ALUK had launched the SC156 Lift and Slide door alongside its existing F82 bi-fold system in its premuim Luminia range.

The SC156, said to  provide the same key features of aesthetics and performance which are already proving a huge success for both fabricators and installers as the F82, is aimed at applications such as high-end domestic projects, luxury hotels and apartment blocks.

It weather tightness of 1500 Pa, making the system suitable for projects exposed to the elements, such as in coastal locations. The SC156 achieves U-Values of 1.4W/m2K double glazed, or as low as 1.0W/m2K triple glazed. It boasts slim sightlines of 95mm combined with a central interlock of 50mm to maximise space and natural light.

Available in mono and dual track options and a range of configurations, the SC156 also offers buyers the option of expanses of glazing up to 3100mm high and with panel weights of up to 400kg.

The door is PAS24 accredited, so meets the requirements of ADQ for the new build sector.

It is available from stock in three standard colours and two dual colours on a five day lead time.

Managing Director Russell Yates said: “The aluminium sliding door market is very much on the up, with market industry reports predicting growth of more than 10% over the next couple of years. It is quite clearly segmented though with mass market, premium and high end customers all looking for something very different from their purchase.”
