Welsh fabricator DUDLEY’S ALUMINIUM has begun work on a new project with Vinci Construction to construct new student accommodation named Polden Corner for Bath University.

The contract, in excess of £500,000, entails Kawneer curtain walling, and windows and doors, as well as sliding/patio doors. The estimated completion is Autumn 2018.

The £34.5m development will have 293 en-suite bedrooms in 37 flats across two buildings, arranged around a landscaped courtyard. The accommodation building will also include a café, communal study spaces, drying rooms and cycle storage.

Polden Corner is the second student accommodation project Dudley’s has secured in the last six months, following the contract to work with ISG Plc on a new student accommodation in Cardiff’s Capital Quarter – a project worth in excess of £1million.
