CORNWALL GLASS has announced the launch of its in-house interior and exterior, acid-etched decorative float glass range, Opaletch.
Stored and processed in the same way as ordinary float glass, Opaletch can be cut, drilled and toughened as standard, without any special adaptation.
Matt Prowse, Cornwall Glass Director, said: “Opaletch delivers all of the flexibility of standard float glass in a decorative finish. This means that it’s suitable for an almost endless variety of installations and applications.
“It has applications across construction from balustrading and cladding to office partitioning. It can be used in IGU manufacture, multi laminate panels for vertical or horizontal panels such as floor glass. It massively extends the reach to many within the industry and is aimed at the end user wanting something different.”
Opaletch is available in 12 patented designs. This includes satin; diagonal, offset, hatched, over-lapping and Opaletch, lines; dots; ovals; pills; waves and overlapping waves.
It’s available in a variety of thicknesses from stock.
The acid-etching process is applied to single sides as standard but can also be manufactured with a dual-sided finish depending on application and the light translucence and finish required.
