New staff appointed at Assure to meet rising demand

Network VEKA's self-certification and Competent Persons Scheme Assure, continues to grow with the appointment of new team member, Maxine Taylor.

Maxine, who joins Assure from Calrec Audio has been recruited to provide administrative support to Technical and Compliance Manager, Austin Greene.

Austin comments: “Maxine has arrived at just the right time! Our uptake figures continue to grow which, while really encouraging for Assure, understandably makes big demands of our administrative team. Our member numbers have doubled over the last year and we don't see any reason for that trend not to continue.

“The system we've developed is simple, straightforward and competitively-priced, which has evidently made it preferable to comparable offerings from many of our competitors. Assure is open to all installers, regardless of whether they're Network VEKA members or even use VEKA products. Our goal is to increase the number of installers able to self-certify that their work is compliant with Building Regulations and that, of course, can only be a good thing for homeowners.”

Besides being able to register their installations with Local Authorities, Assure members benefit from regular training, seminars and CPD bulletins, ensuring they're up-to-date with Regulations and changes in the industry. A Technical and Arbitration hotline provides advice and support, and members can also access Insurance-Backed Guarantees and Green Deal Certification.

Maxine, who started in late November, said: “I'm thrilled to be working for Assure and can already see what a positive impact the organisation has, both for homeowners and installers.
