INTRODUCING QUAD-CIRCUIT LIFTERS
FOR CURVED GLASS TO THE UK
6th January 2015

Glass lifting solutions specialist GGR Group has introduced the UK’s first quad-circuit curved glass vacuum lifters to their expanding range of machines for hire and sale. The high capacity Quad-Curve 1000 and Quad Curve 2000 glass lifters are designed to handle larger convex curved units weighing up to 1 tonne and 2 tonnes.

GGR’s latest additions to their fleet of glass lifters are specifically designed for safely lifting the larger and heavier curved architectural glass units which are becoming increasingly popular in the construction of commercial and retail buildings. As an extra safety measure for handling heavier glass panels, both the Quad-Curve models feature the latest quad-circuit vacuum technology with four independent vacuum systems. This means that if one of the machine’s four vacuum circuits fails then the remaining three can safely hold the load weight.

The Quad-Curve 2000 is the highest capacity curved glass lifter available in the UK as it can lift a generous 2000kg when fitted with its extension arms and all 32 suction pads. Its 6.9 metre long lifting frame can handle convex curved glass with a minimum radius of 3500mm and can be manually rotated by 180°. This versatile radio remote controlled lifter can also be set up in two alternate configurations, using 20 pads to lift up to 1400kg or just 14 pads to lift 320kg flat glass panels.

The smaller 1000kg capacity Quad-Curve 1000 has 2.8 metre long lifting arms fitted with 16 suction pads to safely lift convex curved glass with a minimum radius of 5000mm. It also features 90° hydraulic powered tilt and manual 200° lockable rotation for installing glass units with precision.

The Quad-Curve 1000 and Quad-Curve 2000 lifters are proven performers on site after successfully helping to complete glazing projects in central London and Manchester. In their growing range of over 30 below-the-hook glass lifting machines for hire and sale, GGR now offers 7 different specialist curved glass lifter models ranging from 200kg to 2000kg in capacity.

GGR Group’s CEO Graeme Riley comments, “GGR Group has brought these quad-circuit curved lifters to the UK market as we want to offer our customers the safest possible method of handling increasingly larger and heavier architectural glass. By keeping our ear to the ground for upcoming glazing trends we are able to meet the demands of our customers with the latest in vacuum lifter technology and specialist glazing equipment.”
