MASTERFRAME has announced the promotion of its founder and managing director Alan Burgess to Group Chairman, with Carol Slade taking over the role of MD.
The appointment affords Alan time to focus on business development and areas of growth such as Timberweld, its patented method of authentic timber-look jointing.
Alan helped create the UK’s first dedicated PVC-U box sash window in 1984 and shortly afterwards helped develop and build the initial PVC-U vertical sliders market. Now, with the demand for flush sash casements surging, the company says it’s clear that what started as an attractive niche timber-look product is turning into a mainstream market window.
Alan said:“Masterframe Windows and the Bygone Network have gone from strength to strength. I look forward to seeing these areas of the group grow even further under the recently promoted Managing Director, Carol Slade. This will enable me to focus more time and energy into Timberweld, which is getting a fantastic reception.”
