Timber doorsets from JELD-WEN were selected for the high profile 150 High Street, Stratford development in London, which features seven new apartment blocks, including one of the highest residential towers in London.
JELD-WEN’s SecureFit™ flat entrance doors, ReadyFit™ doorsets and Real Wood Over-Veneer oak internal doors will be included within 706 new homes at the development, which is located adjacent to the 2012 Olympic Stadium. This includes the 132 metre high ‘Halo’ building, which will become a striking part of the London skyline.
The apartments are being built by Ardmore Construction Ltd, a specialist design and build contractor, working on behalf of Genesis Housing Association, on one of their largest projects to date.
Alan Edgar, Director for Ardmore, said: “It is very important on a development of this magnitude that we work with suppliers we can trust will be able to deliver. As we have an established relationship with JELD-WEN, we are aware of the reliability of both their products and service which is essential so we can achieve the required build schedule.”
Jonathan Seeley, National Sales Manager at JELD-WEN, explains: “We are delighted to be working with Ardmore to supply what is one of the most prestigious residential developments in London. It is a major project in terms of the number of doorsets supplied, each of which has a very high specification to match the quality of the build here. Our SecureFit™ and ReadyFit™ doorsets are becoming renowned amongst developers, not only for their aesthetics, but also for their rapid, simple and straightforward installation. Our Real Wood oak internal doors were the perfect choice for internal doors, not least because they benefit from a high specification, but they also complement the trend towards oak finishes in the home.”
