Sierra launches ‘real-time’ online order tracking

Sierra has launched its new website and customer portal which gives Sierra installers access to real-time online order tracking as well as the latest downloads and product updates.
Available at HYPERLINK "http://www.sierrawindows.co.uk" www.sierrawindows.co.uk registering Sierra customers can download a wealth of information designed to support them in managing their accounts more efficiently.
Accessed through their own dedicated customer portal, this includes up to the minute information on their balance, credit and outstanding orders through to the fine detail on their order as it progresses through Sierra’s state-of-the-art manufacturing operation.
Brian Webb, Sierra, said: “The customer portal brings a wealth of information to the finger-tips of our installers. It can be accessed any time of the day or night and gives the ordering and manufacturing process a huge amount of visibility.
“This has been designed to complement rather than replace our existing customer service operation. We know this is a people business and we see being there on the end of the phone and that personal contact as of critical importance and value to our customers.”
The real-time order tracker features details on the date of receipt of order, the customer’s own job reference, the number of frames ordered, where those frames are in the manufacturing process and delivery week.
It also allows installers to pull up the fine detail of the order including frame dimensions plus glazing and hardware specifications.
A second ‘smaller sales’ tab also allows installers to track ‘ad hoc’ ancillary purchases including replacement DGUs or handles and hinges.
The website more broadly gives installers access to the latest information on Sierra’s comprehensive product offer that includes not only windows and doors but conservatories, orangeries, sun rooms plus an extensive range of glass options.
A news section offers up to date information on industry and company developments and includes a link to Sierra’s Green Deal Tracker which features everything the trade needs to know about the Government’s flag ship energy efficiency policy.
Webb added: “There’s a huge amount of activity going on at Sierra and a huge amount of change within the industry. The new Sierra website has been developed to help our customers in understanding how that change impacts on them and how we can support them.
