MyBuilder.com seeks out Best Builders’ Breakfast in Britain
4th September 2012

Online tradesman-finding website www.mybuilder.com today (4 September 2012) announced that it was to launch the largest ever survey of builders’ breakfast tastes in order to find the definitive Best Builders’ Breakfast in Britain.

MyBuilder, which has over 63,000 tradesmen on its books, will be asking plumbers, electricians, plasterers, painters and window fitters to nominate their favourite breakfast vendor, whether it is a traditional ‘greasy spoon’, transport café, hotel or a van by the side of an A-road.

The survey will also look at regional variation and the changing face of this British tradition. MyBuilder will be asking if Welsh builders still enjoy lava bread (seaweed) with their fry up and if the Scots still favour white pudding of a morning. And what about the breakfasts of Polish, Indian or Aussie builders working in the UK? Do they have their own favoured breakfast spots or have they adopted bacon and eggs washed down with a mug of tea? The survey will also find out if it is ever okay to have chips with your breakfast and if baked beans are considered an essential item.

The winning café/diner will be named as the home of the Best Builder’s Breakfast In Britain on 27 November 2012 and presented with a trophy by MyBuilder. One lucky builder who nominates the winner will win breakfast for four there, as well as a one-year free membership at MyBuilder.com.

Tradesmen who are not already members of MyBuilder need not miss out on the chance to nominate and win a free membership, as they can tell MyBuilder about their favourite breakfast outlet by emailing competitions@mybuilder.com or visiting the MyBuilder blog at www.mybuilder.com/blog.

www.MyBuilder.com matches reviewed tradesmen with the homeowners who need to hire them. It has over 63,000 plumbers, electricians, painters, plasterers and other tradesmen on its books, enabling householders to arrange everything from changing a washer to building an extension online. Nearly 500,000 jobs have been posted on the site since it was founded by US-born stonemason Ryan Notz.
