Bohle Group at Glas Tec
4th September 2012

At glasstec 2012, the Bohle Group will present its new trade fair concept (hall 9, stand D42/F42). This year’s focus of the stand, which has an area of almost 1,000 square metres, will be an adventure world for glass hardware. Furthermore, there will be themed worlds for mechanical and industrial glass processing as well as for UV bonding technology, machines, measuring devices and the new surface protection product BriteGuard®. Under the motto “Discover Bohle”, many innovations related to glass will be presented to visitors during the four days of the trade fair. More than 100 stand employees of the Bohle team from 12 different countries will be on hand to attend to customers.

“We want to take into account the fact that glass hardware and product diversity has become increasingly important to our customers and we will therefore devote significantly more space to this product group than we used to,” says Arne Klöfkorn, Commercial Director of the Bohle Group. Based on the new hardware catalogue with more than 500 pages which has just been published, Bohle presents the products divided into the hardware worlds of interior fittings, fittings for bathrooms, furniture, balustrades and canopies. ”We focus on showing as many products as possible in their practical context and enabling our customers to touch and try the products,” Klöfkorn explains the concept and adds: “Six sliding door systems – including the new Bohle SlideTec optima system – will be installed ready-to-use; the latest hardware such as the flush-mounted shower door hinge Bohle Plan can be examined on five shower stalls. Furthermore, canopies and hardware for furniture are also built in correspondingly.”

New sandblasting cabinet SBM 2500
In the machine world, Bohle will present the new sandblasting cabinet SBM 2500. The big brother of the very successful SBM 1500, it is able to blast glass panes at heights of up to 2600 millimetres and, with its blasting performance of 18 square metres per hour, it was designed for batch production. At glasstec, both machines will be shown in operation. Another increasingly important topic at international level is water treatment. “We will convince customers of the effectiveness and the short amortisation times of our Sedimentor coolant cleaning systems by means of very demonstrative experimental set-ups,” Arne Klöfkorn explains.

Mechanical glass processing and low-priced consumables

In the field of mechanical glass processing, Bohle’s large product range of tools and consumables are presented to their best advantage. “We used our international infrastructure in order to pool our procurement activities specifically for this sector, and we were therefore able to achieve considerable cost reductions for many consumables for our customers – maintaining the proven high quality of Bohle. Thus, Bohle also positions itself as a partner for everyday needs,” says Dominik Hinzen, manager of the direct sales activities in Germany. This also has an impact on the well-known live demonstrations at glasstec: this year, they are not limited to familiar topics such as glass cutting and bonding. The presentations will instead be extended to the overall field of mechanical glass processing – with all products from the Bohle product range.

Measuring devices: TinCheck® Industrial makes the quality of glass transparent
At glasstec, Bohle also dedicates a world to the industry sector. Besides the comprehensive solutions Bohle offers for automatic glass cutting and drilling, the company presents a new innovation: After the introduction of the tin side detector TinCheck® as a handheld device, Bohle is now launching TinCheck® Industrial as a subsequent development. The previous device already gives a result with regard to the level of tin load as well as a quick, easy and reliable detection of the tin side. Now the TinCheck® Industrial presents a full measuring tool for the determination of the tin load. This helps glass manufacturers, for example, to monitor the quality of the produced glass. Glass processing companies benefit from TinCheck® Industrial as they are now able to check the quality of the glass to be processed in terms of usability, and to adjust the process parameters of the tin load accordingly.

There also is an innovation for another measuring device: the glass measuring device GlassBuddy is now entering its second generation. With many new functions and a large, graphic display, the new GlassBuddy generation will live up to the success of the previous model.

BriteGuard® sets new standards in surface protection
Another glasstec premiere Bohle is demonstrating is BriteGuard® (www.briteguard.com), the latest generation of glass surface protection. With almost 90 years of experience in glass, Bohle succeeded in developing a high-quality product for easy-to-use surface protection for glass and glazed ceramic surfaces which is setting new performance standards. BriteGuard® is available for smooth surfaces such as glass shower stalls, facades, glass furniture, balustrades, conservatories and much more, as well as for rough, i.e. sandblasted or satin-finished surfaces.

With its TÜV certification, the outstanding characteristics of the BriteGuard® Surface Sealer are now also certified by an independent institution. In elaborate tests, a service life of 10 years on smooth glass had been simulated which the BriteGuard® coating withstood with almost no loss of effectiveness.

“We are looking forward to a successful glasstec 2012 and we think that we are able to surprise our customers from all over the world once again,” Arne Klöfkorn is convinced and adds: “We cordially invite everyone to convince themselves of the efficiency of the Bohle Group at our stand. Yet again, there are plenty of things to discover – true to the motto ‘Discover Bohle’!”

At glasstec 2012, Bohle presents its new stand concept. The focus will be on hardware, which is presented in different themed worlds.
