Apeer 70, the name of the most advanced door entrance system on the market, has been officially recognised as ‘Energy A Rated’.

All 17 designs in the Apeer 70 portfolio are now available as Energy A Rated under the British Fenestration Ratings Council (BFRC) scheme which is widely recognised by consumers.

The BFRC scheme includes three categories of pedestrian doors - solid, partially glazed and fully glazed. All seven Apeer 70 solid doors and three glazed styles have been third party certified without the need for any enhancements. Seven further glazed designs with Low E, gas-filled, triple glazed units also meet the Energy A Rated criteria without specification upgrades.

Said Apeer MD Asa McGillian: “Certification across these 10 designs officially recognises that these styles have, effectively, always been A rated – so there will be no additional charge for the A rating on these doors. The other designs are also available as Energy A Rated options by using Low E glass and argon gas for improved thermal performance.”

Apeer 70 features a high density polyurethane core which brings a higher level of strength and insulation in comparison with traditional doors. Apeer 70’s double rebate system adds additional draught protection by creating an internal secondary rebated seal.

Its toughened, triple glazed units are highly insulated and come complete with a Q Seal warm edge Super Spacer system which significantly improves long-term durability, energy efficiency, condensation resistance and sound transmission.

As well as offering the very best in insulation, the quality of construction that makes Apeer 70 doors so thermally efficient, also ensures they are a major home security feature. Each door incorporates, as standard, the unique cylinder technology of Millenco’s Magnum secure lock systems. The cylinder has been tested to the highest grade of the BS EN 1303:2005 standard and is fully approved by the BSI and holds the Kitemark. It is drill, pick and force resistant and additional keys can only be ordered from approved key cutters.

Apeer has also expanded its standard colour offer to include a fashionable new shade – and introducing a brand new, four-colour Premium range.

The current palette of nine standard colours is being lifted to 10 to include Chartwell Green, a popular ‘heritage’ shade that was previously only available for an additional charge through the company’s bespoke colour service. The new Premium range is currently being offered at no extra cost for a promotional six months period.
