Local PR support

The Double Glazing and Conservatory and Ombudsman Scheme (DGCOS) is helping its members with PR support in their local and regional media.

At least 35 members have featured in their local press and radio in the last year, helping to promote their businesses and bring in leads.

Faisal Hussain, DGCOS marketing manager said: “We keep in touch with members regularly to update them on new developments from DGCOS, and to find out how they’re doing, often discovering some great stories in the process – whether that’s charity donations, a new showroom or product range to announce, or work to support the community. We’ve written and placed several press releases to help boost members’ profiles in their local areas. It really makes a difference.”

Members who have been featured include High Tech Windows, Sunshield, North Lakes Glass, Classic PVC and Abbey Glass. The media range from the Derby Telegraph, Colchester Gazette and Bournemouth Echo to BBC Radios Coventry, Essex, Gloucestershire, Lincolnshire and Humberside. Members are also provided with a template ad for use in local press and directories which shows a picture of Nick Ross, ambassador for DGCOS.

“Our local support for members is bolstered by DGCOS’s nationwide regional radio campaign and regular PR in national consumer titles such as Good Homes and the Sunday Express,” Faisal said.
