Italian manufacturer Belfortglass has appointed The Glass Machinery Company as sole UK distributor for its range of products.

The new appointment with the Monserrat based company comes at a time of growth for Belfortglass. Senior management at Belfortglass said: “We are committed to delivering world class products and ensuring they provide our customers with significant benefits. The Glass Machinery Company’s appointment is a key part of our corporate profiling strategy and is critical to further establishing Belfortglass in the UK market.”

Belfortglass was founded in 1971 as a manufacturer of butyl and thiokol one/two component sealants for the insulating glass market. Quickly, the company established itself on the international market as a reliable supplier with a highly reliable and durable range of products.

In 1979 the Company diversified into diamond wheel technology and today Belfortglass manufactures diamond wheels for flat and round edge grinding machines, flat and round edge double edgers, bevelling and prismatic mirror machines as well as numerical control machines.
