Hegla at Vitrum

Hegla will be exhibiting at the Vitrum exhibition in Milan in October 2011.

The company will be demonstrating a number of systems including the 6m x 3m ‘Galactic Econ’ Magnetic Linear Drive Cutting Table as well as the Universal Re-Master Sub Plate System.

The magnetic linear drive table range has been developed to provide manufacturers with key performance benefits including increased accuracy, faster speeds, and better acceleration which combine to reduce production costs and improve efficiency. Over the last few years sealed unit production has become more complex with an ever increasing range of products being incorporated into production methods which need to be identified as part of production control.

Machines such as the Galactic range of cutting tables from Hegla have led to the development of Laser Systems being mounted to the cutting bridge that can mark the glass with 100% accuracy. The glass is marked before it is cut with all relevant marking details taken from the cutting code which offers manufacturers many benefits. The need for white marker pens to be used on toughened applications for example has been eliminated. This ultimately saves time during the production process and guarantees that there is no ghosting on coated products as markings are never in the visual area of the sealed unit.
