Glass Systems was the first insulated glass manufacturer to automate production of Swisspacer V units, by investing in a Lisec BSV 45 ANK bender.

The Swansea-based company, which manufactures 23,000 units a week, invested £1.2million in its growth strategy. National sales manager Kevin Pearce said: “Sales of Swisspacer units have gone from 4% to 30% as customers are selling higher energy rated windows. We offer a wide range of units and the quality has to be the best – customers are very happy with the appearance and performance of the Swisspacer units, and we expect sales of higher energy rated products to continue. Our investment in the Lisec machinery should keep us well ahead of the field.”
