Software update

Business Micros (Aluminium) has launched a new update for its LogiKal software system.

LogiKal 7.1 is now available as a free upgrade to all Business Micros (Aluminium) customers and, as with all updates, is being supplied automatically via LogiKal’s integrated iupdate module.

Some of the key improvements in the update are in the machine links, meaning that LogiKal 7.1 can now drive saws and CNC machines specifically by project allowing users to guide specific project profiles to different machines.

The user has more controls and options at different levels of any project and can even control clamp orientations for saw and CNC outputs and optimise whole or phased elements of a project to saw and CNC.

The internal CAD element, which has always been a popular feature in LogiKal because it allows DWG and DXF files to be imported smoothly and existing drawings to be saved as DWG and DXF files, has also been improved so that these files can now be used in conjunction with wall connections to allow users to integrate perimeter details and create more controlled production and part costings.

Dean Hodges, managing director of Business Micros (Aluminium) said: “Software needs to keep pace with the industry it serves. These regular, free updates are an integral part of our service and are delivered seamlessly to customers so that they can be confident that they are always using the most up to date version of the software available. Our UK based technical team provide full support and all the relevant information to enable customers to make the most of the new features.”
