A decade of golf sponsorship
4th August 2015

Glazerite Windows Limited marked its 10th year sponsoring the Midlands PGA pro-am golf tournament at Wellingborough Golf Club with another successful day.

This year was the first time that the pro-am was played the day after the professionals tournament, and with it being the 10th anniversary it worked out perfectly for those wanting to enjoy the social aspect of the tournament, celebrating late into the evening.

Representing Northant’s County, the team that took the top spot on the day featured former Ryder Cup star Paul Broadhurst, as well as amateur players David Mitchell, Craig Blackford and Steve Fellows, while Glazerite customer Welland Valley Windows, whose team consisted of Adrian Duffin, Phil Duffin, Glen Gulla and professional Jak Hamblett, finished a very creditable joint fourth.

The professionals tournament was won by James Whatley, the PGA Professional at Morley Hayes, Derbyshire, taking home the £1,050 prize money and trophy, presented by Glazerite founder and owner John Hewitt.

Glazerite will hold its yearly inaugural Glazerite Golf Day on Friday September 25th 2015 at Wellingborough Golf Club, a private members club situated at Harrowden Hall in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside.
