Anyone who doubts the potential of repeat business should take a look at Kömmerling fabricator Lockwood Windows, which has just taken an order from one of its first ever customers from 21 years ago.
Karen Lowther bought a kitchen window and front door from the Huddersfield company in 1998 and, while they are still serving her well, she rang to say she would like to upgrade.
She chose a Chartwell Green, Flint style composite door with a Kömmerling frame to complement the Yorkshire stone house. And now, her old window and are back at Lockwood Windows as a display to show its customers how well they lasted.
Managing director Richard Pogson, pictured with Karen, said: “It seemed apt that one of our first ever customers would come back to us after 21 years for an upgrade and it’s appreciated that so many people, friends and their families keep on coming back to us.
“We’ve no doubt that the new door and window should also last over 20 years much like the original ones we’ve taken out.”
