Polyframe breaks into aluminium – and repeats its ‘unplug’ call to small fabs

POLYFRAME GROUP has announced its first venture into aluminium, with the acquisition of Norfolk-based Advanced Aluminium, and is now claiming to be the only UK fabricator to offer eight window systems including both materials.

The company is also marking the move by repeating its invitation to small and medium fabricators ‘unplug their machines and plug into Polyframe’ – cease manufacturing but continue selling and installing the same systems they are currently using.

The actual acquisition was completed earlier this year but formally announced this week now that the operation is fully integrated.

The new business, renamed Polyframe Aluminium Ltd, has a 20,000ft2 manufacturing facility run by General Manager Stuart Smith. Peter Dyson, Polyframe’s Group Sales Director said: “It means we can provide small to medium sized fabricators and installers nationally with aluminium windows, doors, and bi-folds with the same fast, reliable lead times, high service and support levels we offer in our PVC-U range.”
