Thicker skinned GRP door joins timber core range
3rd May 2016

The DW3 Products Group has launched RESIDOR, a range of GRP composite doors with a PAS24:2016 security standard like the group’s existing Solidor range but aimed at more price-sensitive sectors such as new-build and social housing.

Residor’s 3.6mm GRP skin is said to be more than double the thickness of 70% of other composite doors, enabling it to pass the new PAS24:2016 cut test while the others fail in under 90 seconds. It meets Approved Document Q requirements and every Residor door will be fitted with an Ultion cylinder door lock as standard.

DW3 Products Group CEO Gareth Mobley said: “Residor is the most secure GRP composite door you can buy. Its thick GRP skins mean it passes the tests, and it’s locked with Ultion, the most secure cylinder lock.

“Homeowners and installers love Solidor’s industry leading range and its solid hardwood timber core because it’s a premium quality door that’s the most secure and it passes all the tests. But the market for GRP composite doors is huge and price sensitive jobs like new builds and social housing leave room for little else.”

The DW3 Products Group also includes Solidor, Residence 9 – now part of The Residence Collection – and Window Widgets.
