Near-silent motor added

ORIGIN, manufacturer of bi-folding doors, windows and blinds, has secured an exclusive partnership with Lutron to provide a new motor on all its electronic roller blinds. Origin is one of only six UK companies to offer this motor on its system, and is the only bi-folding door manufacturer to include this technology for blinds designed specifically for bi-folding doors.

The technology means that Origin’s blinds range can now be controlled and operated using a tablet, smartphone or connected to a home automated system. This can then be programmed to open and close at different times, for additional security and to reduce heat loss throughout the home. The motor also runs on an electronic drive system for near silent operation.  

In addition to its electric roller blind, Origin has introduced a new pleated blind. This is designed to fit neatly to the beading of a bi-fold door or window, for a minimalist look with maximum light and heat control. Available in eight colour options, the pleated blinds come with a five year guarantee from Origin.
