Better German Foils, Longer Warranties

3D Laminates, with its impressive reputation for its next generation CoolSkin door skins, is now the sole UK agent for Hornschuch, with its enhanced range of window-grade foils with Cool Colors technology, which have been proven throughout Europe.

The relationship between 3D Laminates and Hornschuch goes back over 10 years through the CoolSkin product, but now the company looks for an increase in demand for the Hornschuch foils, a major player in many European markets including Germany. There has already been an increase in enquiries particularly for the Altweiss TP60, Creme TP60 and Beige TP60 foils for window profiles, each available with several embossing designs.

The ongoing testing and development programme from Hornschuch has seen its new foils offered with an extended warranty of 10 years. Whilst remaining a PVC based foil with an acrylic protective top coat, the new Hornschuch foils with Cool Colors technology can be laminated with the usual industry standard primers, adhesives and machinery, using the same parameters for wrapping.

The new generation Hornschuch foils benefit from a 20% thicker acrylic top coat at 60 microns, against the conventional standard of 50 microns, which improves colourfastness and scratch-resistance considerably. Long term weathering and colourfastness trials have resulted in a comprehensive 10-year guarantee across all Hornschuch foils, which are also designed to match the industry standard foils currently available. The foils are suitable for window profiles, soffit and fascia boards and other exterior PVCu building materials.
