Technoform Glass Insulations, recently had its spacer bar – the TGI-Spacer – included in the prestigious, £65m Scottish Serious Crime Campus at Gartcosh in North Lanarkshire. The building houses key staff from the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency, HM Revenue and Customs, the Serious Organised Crime Agency, the Scottish Police Services Authority forensic service, the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.
TGI customer Lisburn Glass was commissioned to manufacture and install the glass facades, a project which took four months to complete and incorporated a staggering 2,500 square metres of glass.
Joint managing director Trevor Gowan explains why Lisburn Glass chose the TGI-Spacer.
“The TGI-Spacer is easy to bend and offers superb thermal performance, making it the ideal warm edge solution for this high profile project. Not only does the product perform well, TGI is a great company to deal with and is always on the end of the phone should I need anything. I couldn’t ask more from a warm edge supplier.”
Simon Rawlins, head of Technoform Glass Insulation Great Britain and Ireland concludes: “The TGI Spacer is a high performance warm edge solution and I am delighted Lisburn Glass has used it in such a high profile project.”
