Focus on commercial projects pays dividends
2nd September 2014

Norwich-based roofline installer DMD Installations is reporting a significant upturn in business as the company takes on increasingly large contracts across the UK. The Kestrel Registered Installer says it has seen double digit growth year on year since it was set up in 2003, and is now working on 1,600 properties a year.

Founder Dean Peruzzi said: “We are laying in the region of half a mile of roofline a week and are now looking to recruit three more teams to add to the nine we already have.”

The company has focussed on larger commercial projects, which now make up 98 per cent of its business.
“Focussing on these larger projects has made a huge difference to our business,” Dean explained. “Since setting up we have seen annual growth of 10-30 per cent, even during the recession.”

DMD Installations is part of the Kestrel Registered Installer scheme. Once accepted on to the scheme installers can gain an NVQ qualification and offer extended guarantees on Kestrel products.

“We have had a long relationship with Kestrel because the products are very reliable,” Dean said. “The people who work for Kestrel have always been very supportive, and that makes a difference. Obviously we fit whatever the specifier demands, but largely those are Kestrel products.”

DMD Installations is currently working on large projects in Essex, London and Kent, with more in the pipeline.
Kestrel marketing director Simon Reynolds said: “DMD Installations is an example of an installer that has a strong understanding of their customer needs and a great vision of where they want the business to go.

“To achieve year-on-year growth of this nature is a testament to that focus and the quality of work DMD carries out.”
