Window reinforcement company, Anglo European have launched a new range of steel weights for traditional sash windows. For use in both single and double glazed traditionally manufactured timber windows, the new Anglo steel weights can be used with 95% of all sash windows where the sash box size is standard.

“We have been approached on many occasions by companies in regards to producing steel sash weights, with our background it seemed a logical step for the company to produce a standard range”, comments James Lister, Anglo’s operations director. “We have the knowledge and the engineering background to mass produce accurate steel weights, and the logistics to deliver nationwide”.

Operating from their two acre factory site in Manchester, they can produce weights from 6lb through to 32lb, in 3 different sizes, 40mm square bar, 45mm square bar and 50mm square bar. The weights can be delivered in batches of varying sizes to suit the customer’s needs, via their fleet of 18-ton vehicles.

“With the growing popularity for the traditional sash window, particularly within the refurbishment market, our new weights offer a cost effective, and less hazardous alternative to the original lead weights,” comments James.

The new Steel weights will be one of the products that Anglo will be exhibiting at the forthcoming FIT Show, as well as their full range of steel reinforcement products.
