Value Windows employee Adam Burridge is in contention for the live shows of this year’s X Factor after judge and mentor Nicole Scherzinger chose him as her wild card entry.

From a group of six male performers Scherzinger – ex-Pussycat Doll and ex-girlfriend of F1 driver Lewis Hamilton – had the unenviable task of taking just three through to the live shows. However, in a change to the rules this year, each judge was allowed to choose one ‘wild card’ and, on Sunday 30th September, Scherzinger chose 22 year old Adam Burridge who funds his passion for music by working in the offices at Middlesex-based Value Windows; a retail and commercial installer for over 20 years, run by Adam’s uncle, Pat Coburn.

From the hundreds of thousands of applicants for X Factor, Adam made it into the final 24 and subsequently spent a week in the Judge’s house before being announced as Nicole Sherzinger’s wild card on Sunday. But he still faces competition to make it to the live shows as only one of the four Judge’s wild card will be allowed through.

Voting is taking place this week to decide which of the four wild card contestants will win the 13th and last spot in the live shows.
