SYNSEAL GOES BACK TO THE CLASSROOM
2nd October 2012

Synseal Extrusions, is taking the ‘portal’ message to architects, and proving that eye-catching glazed roof extensions are not just options for homeowners, but can also dramatically improve commercial projects.

Synseal’s CPD seminar entitled ‘Roof Glazing – the Art of the Possible’ has been approved by RIBA, and is now available for presentation to architects and specifiers up and down the country.

Delegates will also receive a copy of Synseal’s new SkySpace brochure, which includes the latest technical information and inspirational case studies where its custom-designed aluminium portal frames supporting large glazed roof structures have brought architects’ dreams to reality.

Synseal’s one-hour CPD seminar forms part of architects’ ongoing professional development, and details how advances made in the design and construction of wide-span portal frames mean they are no longer just the reserve of big-budget flagship projects.

The seminar takes delegates from domestic roof glazing solutions through to specification of super-sized aluminium portal frame solutions for commercial buildings, all of which are illustrated with case studies and concept designs.

“CPD seminars are a vital source of information for architects and specifiers because they help keep them right up to date with modern ideas and best practice,” explained David Leng, chief executive of Synseal Extrusions. “Since Synseal is leading the way in portal frame technology, we are best-placed to educate building professionals, and give them the confidence to bring striking bespoke roof glazing designs to life with dramatic effect.”

The accompanying literature is packed with technical drawings, concept ideas and project photography, which is designed to inform architects and specifiers, and form part of their library of technical documentation.

“Synseal’s portal frames are exported across the world,” David said. “Coupled with our proven and BBA accredited glazed roof systems, our project designs can withstand the most extreme weather conditions. Furthermore, they are flexible, lightweight, convenient to transport, and speedy to construct. Specifiers will also be pleased to learn that SkySpace aluminium portal frames can offer reduced cost and labour time on site, when compared to conventional building method!”
