Securistyle Hits the Mark
2nd October 2012

On the back of launching a free guide to all hardware related standards under BS EN 14351-1, Securistyle is helping customers prepare for one of the next big step changes for the industry – CE Marking. The European Construction Products Regulation requires the mandatory CE marking of all installed windows and doors from 1st July next year.

Grant Stratford, Technical Director of the company explains: “Most of the industry will now be aware that CE Marking will be mandatory from July next year, but don’t necessarily know what they need to do to comply. Although Securistyle is a component supplier, we have almost 100 years of hardware industry experience in our management team alone and like to make our customers’ lives easier by keeping abreast of changes to industry standards and market trends on their behalf. Our customers expect our products to comply with future as well as existing legislation and CE Marking is no different which is why we have already got the hardware element covered for them with a range of independently certified hardware. The fact that we can demonstrate compliance to the applicable standards tiered down from BS EN14351 means our customers will have the evidence they need for their own technical files and Factory Production Control.

“In addition to having the product certification covered for our customers, our team of experts are on hand to offer advice on the up and coming changes, how it will affect their business and what they need to do to ensure they comply.”
