No less than 99.6% of the 1,137 jobs that Conservatory Outlet delivered in August were delivered On-Time In-Full during a best-ever month for the West Yorkshire-based fabricator.

This figure equates to more than 5,000 products – including frames, roofs, composite doors and glass - which were delivered to 22 Conservatory Outlet dealers using Conservatory Outlet’s own fleet of vehicles.

The OTIF performance also serves as testament to the production department which must ensure that every product is ready for its scheduled delivery date; an achievement which is made even more impressive considering that Conservatory Outlet is now fabricating two window systems and two types of composite door, following the introduction of Residence 9 windows and doors earlier this year, and Solidor composite doors in 2011.

Included in the August OTIF statistics was a 100% week during which every one of the 221 jobs delivered was On-Time In-Full, despite this month being a peak time for staff holidays.

‘First and foremost it’s important that deliveries are faultless for our customers, so that their business is not affected by a mistake further up the supply chain,’ said Greg Kane, Conservatory Outlet Sales Director

But when we’re travelling hundreds of miles to make deliveries it’s important for us to get it right, first time, so that the margin made is not lost by having to make extra deliveries to rectify mistakes.’

The capacity of both the production and transport departments at Conservatory Outlet has been increased this year with the acquisition of an URBAN SV800 production line and the addition of another commercial vehicle to the fleet.
