YALE DOOR AND WINDOW SOLUTIONS has launched AutoSecure, a new multipoint lock said to deliver improved resident security and reduce maintenance call-outs and fees for social landlords, thanks to an automatic mechanism which fires all locking points at once.
The system features a central hook to provide added security as, once the door is closed all the hooks throw instantly.
It also has no need to lift the handle, due to opposing hooks, so is easier to operate for residents with limited strength or poor hand dexterity.
Sales Director Paul Atkinson : “We’ve been able to draw on the proven technology of the tried and tested Yale Lockmaster when developing the AutoSecure.
He continued: “The AutoSecure fires all locking points at once, but has been carefully controlled to prevent the hooks throwing early and damaging the frame.”
The Yale AutoSecure is backed by the Yale 10 year guarantee. Available in 16mm or 20mm faceplate widths and with 35mm or 45mm backsets, it is suitable for the majority of today’s composite or timber door systems and is fully PAS 24 compliant.
