A responsible appointment

Dr Shamir Ghumra has been appointed as Associate Director; Head of Responsible Sourcing in the Centre for Sustainable Products at BRE. He will lead a team of experts helping construction supply chain companies understand and manage the risks and opportunities within their own products, services and labour supply chain.

Formerly Principal Consultant at Responsible Solutions and Head of Sustainability at Aggregate Industries, Shamir also contributes to a number of ISO and CEN committees on sustainability in construction.

Group Business Development Director Miles Watkins said: ‘Shamir brings with him a wealth of experience in advising global blue chip businesses like Kier and AkzoNobel. We are very pleased to have him on board at a key time of growth in our business.‘
