G14 award rounds off a fantastic year for Polyframe
2nd December 2014

Halifax-based Halo fabricator, Polyframe has won its third award in 2014 after collecting the prestigious G14 Award for Fabricator of the Year.

An awards presentation and gala dinner held at the famous London Hilton on Park Lane was attended by more than 560 leading industry figures, eagerly anticipating the results of 13 glazing-related prize categories.

Polyframe's Group Managing Director, Chris Watson and Financial Director, Trisha Earley were on hand to collect the award - one of the year's many highlights for the West Yorkshire company, having been listed in Santander's Breakthrough 50 list of the UK's fastest growing companies, taking the Yorkshire Post's Excellence in Business Award for companies with a turnover between £10m and £50m, and receiving Plimsoll's Certificate of Business Excellence for 'Outstanding Company 2014'.

Chris explains what the G14 victory means to the company: “It is a great honour to be named as Fabricator of the Year, an award we are proud to receive. It is just reward for all the hard work and dedication that all employees give to the company and a reflection of the business strategy we have followed”.

Polyframe has grown from humble beginnings, producing just 40 frames a week when it opened in 1992, to become one of the UK's largest independent fabricators of windows, doors and conservatories. Its commitment to providing products of the highest standard, like superior quality systems from Halo, has seen the company's turnover increase by 41% this year, supported by the opening of five new Polyframe Trade Centres.

Colin Torley, Sales and Marketing Director for The VEKA UK Group commented: “Polyframe's successes this year are testament to the hard work of their team. The company is always proactively looking for ways to innovate and move things forward, bringing its customers the widest choice of quality products. They stock all three Halo profiles, offering a great aesthetic choice of styles and finishes, further increased by a spray booth facility in Norwich through which a further 150 colours can be specified. All at The VEKA UK Group send their congratulations and we look forward to continuing our work together.”

Plans for the future include opening a new Ridings Factory in Halifax that, as well as allowing Polyframe to consolidate its two current operations in the town to a single, more efficient facility, will open up as many as 300 job opportunities in the area. It is even proposed to incorporate a training academy and additional office space on the site.
