Soft coat for UK domestic market

Planibel AS, a new low emissivity soft coat glass designed specifically to meet UK Building Regs has been launched by AGC.

Intended for the domestic replacement and new build markets, Planibel AS is said to offer a high level of free solar heat gain without compromising on transparency and neutral colour.

Planibel AS, supplied as a single stock product, can be used for both annealed and toughened glass applications and can be processed in all the same ways as other low emissivity glass products. Planibel AS offers a U-value down to 1.2W/m2K and a solar factor up to 75%, and is available in 4 and 6 mm, and in a range of sheet sizes up to 5100 x 3210 mm.

Developed to provide a complementary soft glass product to Planibel A, AGC’s awarding-winning hard coat glass, Planibel AS completes AGC’s product offering for the UK domestic replacement and new build markets.
