ISO-CHEMIE, has become a member of industry trade body the Glass and Glazing Federation.
The move opens up access to a range of support services for Iso-Chemie. In turn Iso-Chemie, which supplies self-adhesive tapes and foils for use by installers, will be able to assist with matters such as additions to BS8213 4-2016, which confirms the use of expanding foam tapes as a material suited to seal and energy rate the gap around the frame.
Peter Thompson, UK general manager for Iso-Chemie, said GGF membership will add further value to the technical expertise the firm is able to provide to installers on standards and the value of foams as an effective alternative to silicone sealants.
He said: “Joining the Federation is a further boost to our growth and expansion plans in the UK market place, opening up access to significant development opportunities.
“We look forward to working even closer with window manufacturers and installers as well as others through GGF membership. We’ll also be participating in the many networking opportunities available together with involvement in changing and up-grading standards.”
