Part Q system extended
1st November 2016

Window and door hardware supplier COASTAL GROUP has further extended its Part Q compliance system ahead of imminent changes to the Regulation.

With increasing numbers of specifications likely to come under Part Q, Coastal is currently testing a range of new products to join its compliance programme including its Tritus flush casement window system, stormproof butts, and its ML3120 multipoint locking system.

MD Loren Jenner said: “The Part Q Regulations have had a major impact on the industry and we are determined to enable joinery firms to continue manufacturing and supplying quality timber doors and windows in line with Part Q, hence the extension of the service with wider product groups being tested and incorporated into it.”

Coastal’s Part Q compliance system enables joinery firms to use the company’s own generic Part Q certified products to manufacture officially UKAS tested and certified doors and windows in line with PAS24 without having to pay to have their own windows and doors tested.
