Store group joins GGF

LEEKES the independent home department store has become a member of the Glass and Glazing Federation.

The move follows a period of significant growth, with conservatory and window sales increasing by over 50% in the last three years to more than £15 million a year.

Leekes Operations Director Peter Martin said: “We have continued to make a considerable investment in our glazing operation resulting in a substantial increase in sales during recent years. We are delighted that our service has been acknowledged by receiving accreditation from the internationally recognised Glass and Glazing Federation. With over 115 years’ experience in home improvements, our family business brings a wealth of experience to each installation project as well as a personal touch. We are committed to continuing the development of our conservatory and window business both in terms of our product offer and the service levels we achieve.”

Nigel Rees, Glass and Glazing Federation Chief Executive, commented: “This is an excellent occasion on which to welcome Leekes into Membership. I am certain they will benefit greatly from being part of the GGF and will also bring a lot to the Federation.”

Leekes, has branches in South Wales, the Midlands and West of England, with four conservatory and window studios in Thornbury, Swindon and Hereford and Caerphilly. The retailer was also a finalist in the conservatory installer category at the G15 Awards.
