GLASSTALK – LETS GET NETWORKING!Whatever people considered about Glassex in recent years, it was clearly a great networking event and that’s exactly what the newly launched GlassTalk intends to give to the glazing industry. GlassTalk will be held on the 18th March at the Hilton Metropole at the NEC, Birmingham and will be the first networking event for the window, door and conservatory industries. The event was first conceived by Matthew Glover (Conservatory Outlet), Andrew Glover (West Yorkshire Windows) and Jon Twigge (RoofWright) after the change of plans for Glassex in 2009. This left a gap in the calendar for many people both in terms of the date and opportunity to meet others in the industry. The format of this event is designed to maximise the number of contacts that everyone will make within the industry, discuss key issues and share information. There will also be talks on industry hot topics, lunch included along with the opportunity to stay overnight and enjoy the networking dinner. Other sectors of the construction industry already hold successful networking events and GlassTalk will develop to continue this trend. Over 40 key people in the industry have already subscribed and with a maximum number of attendees of just 150, places are limited. When you consider that leading industry figures such as Nick Dutton, Andy Jones and Graeme Bailey have already committed to the event, then you can see that the industry has a new March diary event.
