Dr Peter Mrosik, owner and CEO of profine Group and its Kömmerling brand, flew in to visit the group’s former Aperture/Synseal facility in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire, to see first-hand the Evolve, Legend and Warmcore brands in production as well as the first UK-based Kömmerling extrusions.
During his visit, he saw several Kömmerling 70 tools running in the extrusion hall next to other profiles and accessories as well as the foil lamination facility.
He said: “After many years of consideration, we now have a UK extrusion facility that I am in no doubt will prove a platform for further growth.
“Credit should be given to the team in the way in which the deal was concluded and subsequently production commencing within 24 hours of the deal.
UK MD Gareth Jones added: “It was a privilege to have the owner of the group over, whilst at the same time observing safe working practices. He sees great potential for us in the UK and now it’s our job to help realise this through further investment and hard work.”
