Dublin-based CRH plc has ended speculation over the future of its Oldcastle Building Envelope operation in the US with the announcement of the sale of its Building Envelope business to KPS Capital Partners for $3.8billion.

The group however has no statement on what implications if any the move may have on CR Laurence (CRL), its architectural systems and glazing products supplier with its extensive operation in the UK.

A statement from CRH adds: “The Business comprises CRH’s entire Building Envelope business which provides architectural glass, storefront systems, architectural glazing systems and related hardware to customers primarily in North America.”

Asked about any implications for CRL from the sale, a spokesperson told The Glazine there would be no further comment beyond existing statements.

No further information was given when speculation over the sale first arose in December https://www.the-glazine.com/?p=4878

CRH is expected to announce its full year results for 2021 this Thursday (March 3).
