Glazing Summit organisers have named financial commentator and investment strategist Greg Perdon as keynote speaker at the 2021 Glazing Summit, due to take place in October.

Greg Perdon is a Chief Investment Officer with Arbuthnot Latham, the London private bank and wealth management firm. He is a sought-after writer and speaker on economic and investment strategy, regularly featured on TV and radio and in the financial press, and a host on Bloomberg. 

He was named one of the Top 100 most influential wealth managers in the UK by Citywire and was previously an Investment Manager with Merrill Lynch, part of Bank of America. 

Andrew Scott, founder of the Glazing Summit says the event comes in a year with the industry facing unparalleled challenges from the impact of lockdown, businesses grinding to a halt, and the floodgates opening to an under-prepared industry, to the short-lived Green Homes Grant scheme, a creaking supply chain, and shortages of both materials and labour, the have been.

“This has been one of the toughest years in living memory,” he said, “On the one hand demand has gone through the roof, but that has caused problems of its own across the whole supply chain.

“There are more challenges on the horizon too. The forthcoming revisions to the Building Regs could be a disaster for the aluminium industry, while companies will need to look at how they can ensure current volumes are sustainable in the short and medium term.”

The Glazing Summit takes place on 21st October 2021 at Edgbaston Stadium and Conference Centre, Birmingham.
