PAS24 FD30 fire-resistant security entrance doorsets have been launched by UK manufacturer Enfield Speciality Doors.

Enfield’s new entrance doors meet BS 476 for fire resistance and smoke control, as well as PAS24 for enhanced security, which is required for the police-backed Secured by Design certification. Single doorsets are available with up to 33 dB acoustic performance.

The fire doors are available in a range of finishes suitable for apartment refurb and new build projects for both social housing or private landlords. The doors incorporate a ‘severe-duty’ core with a hardwood frame and a range of ironmongery including a door viewer, anti-snap letterplates and cowls, and a choice of closers as well as a Fortress 3* thumbturn cylinder with hardened pins for anti-drill, anti-pick and anti-bump resistance.

Enfield Speciality Doors fire doors passed tests by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) in 2018, when it assessed doors from 25 nationwide manufacturers for their effectiveness following the Grenfell fire. Enfield’s door resisted the fire in testing for 35 minutes facing into the furnace and 51 minutes facing away.
