Some 97 windows in the Optima system from Profile 22 were fabricated by Kingfisher Windows and installed by the Sealite Group for a seven-storey residential development in Pelier Street, London.

The windows were predominately Optima Flush Tilt and Turn Windows from Profile 22 along with a small number of Optima open-out casement windows. The new build development contained 17 dwellings for social rent, consisting of four one-bedroom flats, nine two-bedroom flats and four three-bedroom flats.

They were manufactured in RAL 7016 anthracite grey on the exterior and white on the interior to deliver the streamlined aesthetics required and value engineered to meet the clients budget specification.

All the windows needed to comply with Lifetime Homes Standard to ensure they met the existing and changing needs of households. For windows to be Lifetime Homes-compliant, a window must have handles no higher than 1200mm above floor level. As such the handles have been offset from their central location on the Optima Flush Tilt & Turn window to comply with this standard.
